Product Characteristics
It is a by-product when formaldehyde and acetaldehyde are condensed in mineral medium to produce pentaerythritol and it can be separated and recovered from pentaerythritol by a step crystallization method. It is mainly used for manufacturing alkyd resin, drying oil, rosin ester and f ire resistant agent.
Applications
Di-pentaerythritol is a crystalline solid with six primary hydroxyl groups. It is mainly used for environment-protection materials, such as radiation curing monomers, synthetic lubricants and alkyd resin. In micronized form, di-pentaerythritol is mainly used for f ire-retardant and PVC stabilizers.

Product Storage and Transportation Notes
It is stored in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Stay away from the f ire and heat sources. It shall be stored separately from oxidizer and acid and so on. Please avoid to store and mix with them. It shall be equipped with the f ire-f ighting equipment in corresponding type and quantity. Storage areas shall be equipped with appropriate materials for containment of leaks. When packaging, the plastic bag is wrapped by a polypropylene woven bag or a gunny bag. When the concentration of pentaerythritol dust reaches more than 30g/m3in the air, it may mix with the air to form an explosive mixture. Once the temperature exceeds 400℃, it may explode. Therefore, it shall be stored in a cool, dry and ventilated place, while the moisture-proof and f ire-proof measures are taken. It is stored and transported as the general chemicals.
