Product Characteristics
The pentaerythritol molecule contains four equalhydroxymethyl groups that are highly symmetry,so it is often used as a raw material for thepreparation of polyfunctional group compound.
Applications
Mono-pentaerythritol, a tetrahydroxy solid crystal with high melting point, is mainly used in the production of all alkyd resins, and is featured by enhancement of strength and improvement of desiccation. It is also used in the production of all ester compounds, such as rosin resin of adhesives and inks, fatty acid ester of synthetic lubricants, and anti-radiation acrylate etc. Additionally, it can be used to produce antioxidants. In micronized form, it is used for f ire-retardant and PVC stabilizers.
