Product Characteristics
Slightly hygroscopic and a little bitter taste. Neutral, non-toxic and soluble in water. Its water solution is neutral. The solubility of calcium formate does not change much with the increase of temperature, for example, 16g/100g water at 0℃ and 18.4g/100g water at 100℃. Specif ic gravity: 2.023(20℃), bulk density: 900-1000g/L. Heating decomposition temperature >400℃.
Applications
Calcium Formate, an organic compound, is used as a feed additive, suitable for all animals. It shows acidifying, anti-mold and antibacterial effects. Industrially, it is also used for concrete, mortar additives and the tanning of leather, or as a preservative.
