Manufacturing Technique
Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)is generally produced by the oxidation of dimethyl sulfide.Depending on the oxidant and oxidation method, the process include the methanol-carbondisulfide process, the nitrogen dioxide process, the dimethyl sulfate process, the hydrogenperoxide process, and the solution recovery process. Our company uses hydrogen sulfide andmethanol to synthesizes dimethyl sulfide, and then uses dimethyl sulfide and nitrogen dioxide tosynthesize dimethyl sulfoxide through a stepwise oxidation process.
