Product characteristics
Hygroscopic and toxic. It is soluble in ether and other solutions, but insoluble in alcohol.lt is more soluble in acid than in water and it decomposes in lye to form fluoride and silica. After being scorched (above 300'C),it is decomposed into sodium fluoride and silicon tetrafluoride.
Toxicity
It reacts with acids to emit corrosive and irritating hydrogen fluoride and silicon tetrafluoride gases.You may be poisoned if inhaling, swallowing or contacting skin. lt may affect calcium metabolism ifit contacts and irritates the eyes, skin and respiratory tract and then cause heart disease and functionalimpairment. Once being inhaled, you may feel burning , coughing, sore throat and other symptoms.In the event of eyes and skin contact, the eyes and skin may be red and painful. Once being swallowed,you mamy suffer from colic, burning, nausea, vomiting and so on. The prolonged repeated exposuremay affect the bones and cause fluorosis.
Applications
This product is used for the production of sodium fluoride, glass opalizer, cryolite, accelerator, metal solvent, imitation marble, glass products, acid resistant concrete coagulant and water fluoridation, but also can be used as preservative for wood and leather, and other fluoride is the raw material.
Product storage and transportation notes
It is stored in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Stay away from the fire and heat sources. lt shall bestored separately from oxidizer and edible chemicals. Do not store with them. Storage areas shouldbe prepared with appropriate materials for containing the leaks.The industrial sodium fluorosilicate shall be covered to prevent rain and moisture during the transportation.Please avoid to mix and transport with acidic feed and food. When loading and unloading the product,you shall handle gently but not drag and shock it.

It is operated in a closed condition but a partial exhaust air is required. Operators must be specially trained and strictly abide by the operating procedures.It is recommended that operators wear self-priming filter dust-proof masks, chemical
safety glasses, anti-gas permeating work clothes, and latex gloves. No dust shall be generated. Please avoid to contact with oxidants. Gently and carefully load and unload it during the handling, and keep the package intact as well as prevent spilling and leaking. Leak emergency treatment equipment shall be prepared. Empty containers may have harmful residues.
First Aid
Skin contact: take off the contaminated clothing and thoroughly rinse skin withsoapy water and clean water/shower. Seek medical attention.
Eye contact: Lift eyelids and rinse with the running water or saline. Seek medicalattention.
Inhalation: Remove the person from site to fresh air. Administer oxygen ifbreathing is difficult. Seek medical attention.Ingestion: Gargle with water. Vomiting is prohibited, but it allows to drink milkor egg whites. Seek medical attention.
